Mark very closely resembles number a6050 on page 1484 of Der Neue Stockel Vol. 3. Probable Dutch late 1700’s lock converted to percussion. American cherry stock with brass mounts. Fair condition with lock in working order. Stock with forend wood replaced forward of thimble and crack below lock plate. Metal worn and patinated. No ramrod and ramrod channel somewhat oversize. Colorful and very rare early barrel. Restoration project.
